Dev2Manager takes your privacy seriously. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, how we use it, and the rights you have over it. It complies with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

1. Who we are

Dev2Manager is operated by Andrew Hinchcliffe as a sole trader, based in the United Kingdom. We are the data controller for the personal data described below. Contact us at [email protected].

2. What we collect

  • Account details — your first name, last name, email address, and a password hash (we never store passwords in plain text).
  • Booking information — which courses and cohorts you've booked, the amount paid, and references generated by our payment processor.
  • Payment information — handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. We only receive a payment-intent identifier and a confirmation that the charge succeeded.
  • Email communication — we keep a record of operational emails we send you (booking confirmations, reminders) so we can support you if something goes wrong.

3. Why we use it

  • To process and manage your course bookings (legal basis: performance of a contract).
  • To send you operational emails about your bookings — confirmations, reminders, cancellations (contract).
  • To run and secure the website (legitimate interests).
  • To comply with our tax and accounting obligations (legal obligation).

We do not use your data for marketing without your explicit consent, and we do not sell your data to anyone.

4. Who we share it with

We share the minimum data needed with the third-party providers we rely on to run the service:

  • Stripe (payment processing) — receives your email and the amount charged. Operates under its own privacy policy.
  • Email delivery provider — used to send you operational emails. Receives your email address and the message contents.
  • Cloudflare — sits in front of our website to provide TLS, DDoS protection, and caching. Sees your IP address as part of normal web traffic.
  • GoDaddy — hosts the server the site runs on.
  • Google Analytics — measures how the site is used, but only if you consent via our cookie banner. Until you accept, it is held in a denied state and collects no analytics identifiers. See our Cookie Policy.

Where these providers are based outside the UK, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards (UK adequacy regulations, standard contractual clauses, or equivalent).

5. How long we keep it

We keep your account and booking records for as long as you have an active account with us, and for up to six years after your last booking. We keep this data to meet UK tax and accounting requirements, and so we can answer questions about prior bookings.

You can ask us to delete your account at any time (see "Your rights" below); we may retain the minimum necessary booking records to satisfy our tax obligations.

6. Cookies

We use cookies that are strictly necessary to operate the site:

  • Authentication cookie — set when you sign in, so you don't have to sign in on every page. Deleted when you sign out, or expires after 14 days.
  • Anti-forgery cookie — used to protect form submissions from cross-site request forgery.

With your consent, we also use Google Analytics cookies to measure how the site is used. We show a cookie banner so you can accept or reject these; until you accept, no analytics cookies are set. Cloudflare, which sits in front of the site, may also set its own technical cookies for security and load-balancing. Full detail, including cookie names and lifetimes, is in our Cookie Policy.

7. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Have inaccurate data corrected
  • Have your data deleted (subject to our legal retention obligations)
  • Restrict or object to processing
  • Receive a portable copy of your data
  • Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent

To have your details removed, use the remove my details form. We'll email you a link to confirm it's you, then tell you exactly what was removed and whether anything had to be kept.

For any of the other rights, email [email protected]. We will respond within one month.

You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk if you believe we're handling your data unlawfully.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of the page reflects the current version. Significant changes will be communicated by email where appropriate.
