Cookie Policy
Last updated: 22 October 2026
This policy explains the cookies dev2manager.co.uk uses, why we use them, and your choices around them. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which covers personal data more broadly.
1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store on your device. Cookies let a site remember things between page loads — for example, that you're signed in — and protect against certain kinds of web attacks.
2. Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies are required for the site to work — to sign you in and to keep forms secure. They are always on and do not require consent, because the site cannot function without them.
| Cookie | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
| .AspNetCore.Identity.Application | Keeps you signed in across pages so you don't have to log in on every request. | 14 days, or until you sign out. |
| .AspNetCore.Antiforgery.* | Protects forms (sign-in, booking, admin actions) from cross-site request forgery attacks. | Session — cleared when you close the browser. |
| cookie_consent | Remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics cookies, so we don't ask again on every visit. | 6 months. |
3. Analytics cookies (Google Analytics)
With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site — which pages are popular and how people arrive — so we can improve it. These cookies are only set if you choose "Accept" on our cookie banner.
We use Google Consent Mode: until you accept, Google Analytics is held in a denied state and does not set these cookies or read identifiers. You can change your mind at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer.
| Cookie | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Analytics — distinguishes individual visitors. | 2 years. |
| _ga_Q0LN3CWWMK | Google Analytics — keeps session state for our specific property. | 2 years. |
4. Other third-party cookies
Our content delivery and security provider, Cloudflare, sits in front of the site and may set its own technical cookies (e.g. __cf_bm) to detect bots, mitigate DDoS attacks, and balance load. These are strictly necessary to keep the site available and secure.
Our payment processor, Stripe, sets cookies on its own checkout pages when you make a payment. Those cookies live on stripe.com, not here.
5. Our server-side visitor statistics — no cookies
Separately from Google Analytics, we also keep simple in-house statistics that use no cookies, no fingerprinting, and no third-party tools. For each page view we record:
- The page that was requested and the date and time.
- The country and city your request originates from, derived from your IP address.
- The website that referred you (if any), and any
utm_*tracking tags on the link you clicked, so we can tell which campaigns are working. - A daily-rotating, salted hash of your IP and browser, used only to count unique visitors per day. The hash changes every 24 hours and cannot be reversed back to your IP.
This in-house measurement does not store your IP address itself, sets no cookies, and shares nothing with third parties. The geolocation lookup happens inside our own server. The UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) calls this kind of cookieless, aggregate measurement "statistical analysis", and it does not by itself require consent — which is why it runs alongside Google Analytics regardless of your banner choice.
6. Your choices and controlling cookies
When you first visit, a banner lets you accept or reject analytics cookies. Strictly necessary cookies are not affected by this choice. You can change your decision at any time via the Cookie settings link in the footer.
You can also clear cookies, block them, or be alerted before they're set via your browser's settings — most browsers have a "Privacy" or "Site settings" section that lets you manage this per site. Blocking the strictly necessary cookies will prevent the site from working properly: you won't be able to sign in or submit forms.
7. Changes to this policy
The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the current version. We will update it when our cookie use changes, and notify users by other means if the change is material.
